Mechanical Engineering Intern

About the Role

• Mechanical Design & Fabrication
• Duration: 4 Months (Contractual role)
• Stipend: Negotiable

Role Description

• Create 2D sketches, 3D models, part designs, and assemblies using CAD software.
• Perform hands-on fabrication, including cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting, and basic machining.
• Work with 3D printers, laser cutters, and metal laser-cutting processes.
• Handle aluminium, steel, and other materials for prototyping and product development.
• Use CorelDRAW for laser-cutting designs.
• Support DIY projects, mechanical prototyping, product design, and development in a hands-on tinkering lab environment.
• Assist in machine operation, component assembly, testing, and improving prototype designs.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent 2D CAD software is mandatory.
• Basic FEA and rendering knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with CorelDRAW.
• Experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, and metal laser-cutting processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in CAD design, fabrication, and hands-on product development.
