About the Role
As a Junior Java Developer, you will work on-site in Kolkata in a full-time capacity. You will collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Writing clean and efficient code.
- Assisting in the implementation of microservices and backend services.
- Supporting the integration of APIs and third-party tools.
- Participating in code reviews, debugging, and testing.
- Documenting technical solutions.
- Learning and applying best practices in the Spring Framework.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong foundation in Programming and Java.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Knowledge of Software Development principles, including object-oriented design and basic design patterns.
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework and related tools.
- Understanding of Microservices concepts.
- Experience or coursework related to distributed systems is an advantage.
- Basic experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow coding standards.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, or blockchain is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
