2027 Intern Engineer, Product Support

About the Role

Northrop Grumman is seeking Product Support Engineers to join the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment, interacting with users, customers, and other developers.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intern, you will participate in a Summer Internship Program to develop competencies in a variety of engineering specializations that may include:

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
• Previous internship/co-op experience.
• Leadership & teamwork capabilities.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
