About the Role

The Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing vendor invoices, processing payments, handling customer billing, and monitoring outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review expense reports.
• Post and reconcile journal entries.
• Verify financial data for accuracy.
• Support month-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to payment and billing inquiries.
• Maintain up-to-date records in accounting systems.
• Generate periodic reports.
• Support audits.
• Contribute to process improvements in the finance function.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Accounting software proficiency.
• MS Excel proficiency, including spreadsheets, formulas, and basic reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong Accounting and Finance skills.
• Familiarity with core accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Experience with Expense Reports and Journal Entries (Accounting), including review, posting, and reconciliation activities.
• Solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and support decision-making.
• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong numerical aptitude.
• Ability to work with deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related industries will be an advantage.
