About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Staff role at Bakery B, a neighborhood bakery in Ernakulam dedicated to offering fresh, high-quality baked goods and a welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and understanding their needs.
• Guiding customers through product selections, including breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked items.
• Taking and processing orders at the counter.
• Handling payments (cash and card).
• Packing products.
• Ensuring accurate billing.
• Maintaining product displays.
• Keeping the sales area clean and organized.
• Monitoring stock levels.
• Coordinating with the kitchen team for timely product availability.
• Responding to customer inquiries.
• Managing basic customer complaints.
• Supporting special orders and festive promotions.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with diverse customers.
• Basic sales and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
• Attention to detail and basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Ernakulam.
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and peak hours.
• Good organizational skills.
• Focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to handle light physical tasks such as packing and arranging displays.
• Basic proficiency in local languages and English is preferred.

Previous experience in retail, food service, or bakery sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
