.Software Quality Assurance Tester

Role Description

This full-time Test Engineer role is an on-site position based in the Pune Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and maintain test cases and test scenarios aligned with functional and business requirements.
• Execute manual and/or automated tests.
• Document test results.
• Raise and track defects.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Participate in test planning.
• Support regression and functional testing cycles.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, standards, and tools.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Test Engineering and Testing, with experience in end-to-end software quality assurance processes.
• Hands-on skills in Test Execution, including running test cycles, logging defects, and validating fixes.
• Ability to design, document, and manage Test Cases that clearly trace to requirements and user stories.
• Experience with Functional Testing, ensuring applications meet specified functional and usability expectations.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Basic understanding of automation frameworks is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC, defect lifecycle, and common QA methodologies (e.g., regression, integration, smoke, and UAT support).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and consistency.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
