Article Trainee

About the Role

PSB AND CO, Chartered Accountants, is a professional services firm specializing in audit, accounting, taxation, and advisory services. This is a full-time, on-site Article Trainee role based in Chengalpattu. The position is designed to provide hands-on exposure aligned with professional qualification requirements and to build strong technical and practical skills in accounting and audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in statutory and internal audits.
• Prepare and review financial statements.
• Maintain accounting records.
• Support tax computations and filings.
• Perform vouching and verification of financial data.
• Help with documentation and working papers for various client assignments.
• Research accounting and tax provisions.
• Participate in client visits.
• Follow firm standards for quality, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible to register as an Article Trainee under the relevant Chartered Accountancy regulations.
• Sound understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and journal entries.
• Familiarity with auditing concepts, internal controls, and documentation of working papers is beneficial.
• Ability to use accounting or ERP software and good proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and related tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally.
• Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and manage time and workload to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and maintaining confidentiality of client information.
• Willingness to work on-site in Chengalpattu and travel to client locations as required.
