About the Role

• General Labor, On-Route Helper, Entry Level position available for manual/mechanical waste collection assistance.
• Morning Shift available in St. Paul, MN.
• Earn $19.00 Per Hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver on designated routes by riding along and providing support.
• Climb on and off vehicle to load refuse, waste and poly carts; lift and carry trash bags and containers to the truck for disposal.
• Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver while servicing residential customers on a designated route.
• Operate packing mechanism and various controls to activate lifting and loading equipment.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely, thorough and exceptional service delivery.
• Monitor waste for any unacceptable materials during collection.
• Uphold productivity standards to ensure efficient service delivery to all customers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Fulfill other duties and tasks as assigned by leadership.
• Includes lifting, bending, sorting, guiding, loading, unloading, clean up and housekeeping duties.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Prior general labor or waste/recycling experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Successful completion of a fitness test is a prerequisite.
• Demonstrate good customer service skills.
• Ability to adhere to work schedules, safety policies and assigned tasks with a positive demeanor.
• Consent to a background check.
• Consent to a drug screen.
• Have reliable transportation to get to work.
• Must use work boots that meet ANSI specifications, ensuring sufficient ankle support with a minimum height of 6 inches and top lacing for enhanced stability.

Qualifications

• NO DIPLOMA OR EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
• We need reliable, detailed and safety-oriented On-Route Helpers.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
