AWS Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Certified System Administrator to manage and maintain our AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, architecture, and best practices. This role involves monitoring, optimizing, and securing our AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. We prefer someone who is AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure and services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Implement and manage security policies, identity, and access management.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including patching and updates.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance.
• Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure and processes.
• Stay updated with AWS best practices and new services.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with cost optimization in AWS.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or higher AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Proven experience managing AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps or GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
