About the Role

As a Federal Associate Quality Engineer 2027 at IBM, you will directly impact the quality of software and help ensure the delivery of the best products to clients and IBM. You will work in an agile environment, contributing to each iteration of development. Your role involves manual, automated, and cognitive testing.

About The Team

You will join IBM's US Federal team, delivering secure, mission-critical technology solutions for government agencies. This role involves working with federal, state, and local clients and developing specialized expertise in government compliance and security standards.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
• Create test data and test environments.
• Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead.
• Identify errors and validate successes for any software solution.
• Identify, understand, and document programming errors and operational characteristics inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals.
• Conduct deep dives and present test results to clients and project teams clearly.

These positions are anticipated to start between March and August of 2027.

Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance while in IBM Consulting-Federal.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of the process of Software Testing.
• Introductory development background.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
• Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, technology-based Consulting environment.
• Exposure to basic AI concepts, ethics, and methodologies.
• Preferred experience with tools such as: Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Test Data Management Tools, Performance Testing Tools.
• Preferred exposure to at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, IBM, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data quality analysis, and testing skills in API, ETL, and SQL.
• Preferred exposure to basic data science concepts.
