About the Role

Crossing Infotech is hiring a Software Testing Intern for a full-time remote internship in India. The internship runs for 1 to 3 months. Interns will work on live projects under the guidance of experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Test websites, web applications, and mobile apps manually to find bugs and usability issues.
• Write clear test cases, test scenarios, and test plans from given requirements.
• Run test cases, record results, and report defects with clear steps and screenshots.
• Track bugs using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello until fixed and retested.
• Perform regression, smoke, sanity, and functional testing on new releases.
• Help create basic automation test scripts using Selenium with team guidance.
• Test APIs using Postman and check data using simple SQL queries.
• Work with the team to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts (SDLC, STLC, test cases, bug life cycle).
• Understanding of manual testing types such as functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Basic knowledge of Selenium or any test automation tool.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar.
• Good analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English communication.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Postman, API testing, and basic SQL.
• Basic understanding of Java or Python for automation.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Git.
• Any software testing course, certification (ISTQB), or project experience.

Eligibility

• Students and recent graduates in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), M.Sc, or any related field.
• Freshers interested in building a career in software testing and quality assurance.
• Candidates with a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.
