About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site PLC Programmer role located in Ahmedabad.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for refrigeration systems (chillers, panel ACs, related control panels).
- Configure PLC hardware.
- Write and test control logic.
- Troubleshoot automation issues.
- Optimize existing programs for performance and safety.
- Collaborate with design, electrical, and production teams for seamless integration of control systems.
- Prepare technical documentation.
- Provide support during installation and commissioning at customer sites.
- Follow industry standards and company procedures for high-quality engineering practices.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Experience with common PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or equivalent).
- Understanding of electrical control circuits, instrumentation, and panel wiring related to industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings and translate them into reliable control logic.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting control system issues (I/O faults, communication errors, field device problems).
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA configuration.
- Basic networking concepts for industrial systems.
- Familiarity with data logging or reporting tools.
- Good documentation skills (program backups, user manuals, technical reports).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in refrigeration, process control, or HVAC automation is an advantage.
- Willingness to visit customer sites for commissioning, testing, and service support as required.
