About the Role
Seeking an experienced Data Analyst with direct experience in health plan analytics to support data-driven decision-making across healthcare operations and business functions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with a solid understanding of health plan data, healthcare business processes, and performance measurement. This individual will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze complex datasets, develop meaningful insights, and communicate findings that support operational and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze health plan data, including claims, membership, eligibility, utilization, and cost data.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and insights to support business decisions.
- Use SQL and BI tools to extract, validate, and interpret data.
- Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
- Communicate analytical methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and emerging technologies.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Direct experience in health plan analytics or managed care.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain analytical approaches and provide concrete examples of past projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with claims, provider, membership, or medical-cost analytics.
- Exposure to Python, AI tools, or workflow automation platforms.
- Experience improving reporting efficiency through automation.
