About the Role
The CAD Intern (Without Pay) role is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the design and documentation needs of engineering projects. Interns will assist in creating and modifying technical drawings, adhering to CAD standards, and maintaining organized digital drawing files. The role offers practical experience with online CAD tools and workflows, as well as exposure to engineering best practices and project collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and modifying technical drawings.
- Adhere to CAD standards.
- Maintain organized digital drawing files.
- Work in CAD software.
- Update models based on feedback.
- Prepare basic drawing sets.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications
- Skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Drawing for engineering and architectural documentation.
- Skills in CAD Standards and Technical Drawing.
- Skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for working with 3D models and integrated project information.
- Basic understanding of engineering or architecture principles and an interest in digital design tools.
- Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, and pay close attention to detail.
- Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and communicating clearly online.
- Enrollment in or completion of a diploma or degree in engineering, architecture, or related field is preferred.
