About the Role

Fairmont Mumbai is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our pre-opening team as Food and Beverage Hostesses. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a luxury hospitality brand and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences in our diverse dining outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure their comfort throughout their dining experience.
• Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring all special requests are communicated to the kitchen and bar.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth service flow.
• Proactively promote menu items, beverages, and special promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Monitor and ensure the quality of food and beverage presentation meets Fairmont standards before serving to guests.
• Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to provide seamless service and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as per business needs.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine service, is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
