About the Role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Data Center Operations designs, installs & maintains the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Operations team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure.
• Perform server rack installation and hardware break-fix on various components.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
• Act as the primary contact point for internal customers (e.g., Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external service partners (e.g., Hardware Vendors, Contractors, Service Providers).
• Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
• Perform first-line touch for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in Data Center operations, including scheduled maintenance and change management activities requiring infrastructure monitoring.
• Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and to discuss achieving daily/weekly goals.
• Understand and apply departmental policies and procedures, including safety and security.
• Contribute to documentation on technical issues through root cause analysis for operational issues.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives relevant to the data center environment.
• More experienced technicians may assist in training less experienced team members.
• Lift and rack equipment up to 18kg.
• Work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• Cover 24x7 shift rotation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Computer networking
• High school or equivalent diploma

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
