About the Role
This opportunity is presented by Shift Group on behalf of an established, venture-backed AI software company.
We are partnering with an AI software company whose platform helps some of the best-known B2B brands win more competitive deals. Their product turns market data into clear, ready-to-use insights that sales teams use every day, and customers see measurable gains in the deals they win. They are looking for competitive, curious people to join a small, high-impact team and start a career in tech sales.
As a Business Development Representative, you'll be the first voice many future customers hear, working hand in hand with Account Executives to open doors and build pipeline. No prior sales experience is required: you'll learn the craft from the ground up, with a clear path to an Account Executive role once you've mastered it.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the Game Plan: Work with Account Executives to design and run prospecting strategies that build pipeline and beat team goals.
- Own the Outreach: Reach new prospects through calls, email, social, and any creative channel you can think of.
- Open the Door: Lead first conversations, understand what each company needs, explain the value and book discovery meetings for Account Executives.
- Master the Fundamentals: Learn everything it takes to become a great seller, with coaching and a clear path to an Account Executive seat.
Qualifications
- The Experience: No prior sales experience required. Whether you have some sales background or just a strong drive to start your career, a track record of accomplishment is what counts.
- Competitive Background: You don't need to be a pro to work here. Whether you are a former college or professional athlete or a military veteran, your discipline and understanding of team culture are your resume.
- The Execution: Smart, curious and fast-moving. You manage your time well, catch the details and handle rejection without losing steam.
- The Mindset: A true teammate who enjoys lifting others up, asks hard questions when it helps and always does the right thing.
