Entry-Level Automotive Detailer / Lot Attendant

About the Role

Entry-level automotive roles at Carvana, the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history.

Positions Available

• Detailer: Detailing vehicles, including washing, interior cleaning, and exterior buffing.
• Lot Attendant: Moving vehicles from one department to the next in Inspection Centers.
• Photobooth Associate: Taking photos of vehicles for customer viewing.
• Inspection Associate: Inspecting the interior and exterior of vehicles and identifying imperfections/defects.

Pay

• Starting pay: $19.00/hr.

Schedule

• Second Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 6:30 pm - 5:30 am.
• All locations are subject to mandatory overtime based on business need.

Location

• Inspection Center: 45 Horseblock Road, Yaphank, NY 11980.

General Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment.
• Ability to work sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Tools & Environment

• Use of state-of-the-art tools in high-tech Inspection Centers.
• Use of safety equipment: face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Other Automotive Roles Available

• Auto Body roles: Paint, Prep/Body work, Wheel Repair, Airbrush, Interior Repair, Glass Repair, and PDR (Paintless Dent Repair).
• Auto Technician/Mechanic roles: Lube and Oil, Inspection, Brake and Tire, Mechanical Repair / Build, and Master Technician.
• Entry-Level roles: Detailing, Inventory Associate (Car Porters), Photo, Parts Associate, Inspection, and Coordinator/Administrator.
