About the Role
The Educational Counselor will provide one-on-one and group counseling to students, guiding them on academic choices, study plans, and personal development. The role involves conducting assessments, identifying learning needs, and recommending appropriate educational pathways and resources. The counselor will offer career guidance, organize workshops, and coordinate with schools, colleges, and training centers to support student progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students.
- Guide students on academic choices, study plans, and personal development.
- Conduct assessments and identify learning needs.
- Recommend appropriate educational pathways and resources.
- Offer career guidance.
- Organize workshops.
- Coordinate with schools, colleges, and training centers to support student progression.
- Maintain accurate student records.
- Prepare reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in South Delhi.
- Requires regular presence at the foundation’s facilities and occasional visits to partner institutions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Educational Consulting and Education, with the ability to advise on academic programs and learning pathways.
- Proficiency in Student Counseling, including supporting learners with academic, personal, and social challenges.
- Experience in Career Counseling to help students explore options, set goals, and plan future education or training.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with school or college-age students, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain professional ethics.
- Comfort working on-site in South Delhi.
- Strong organizational skills.
