About the Role
The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) seeks an intern for the Center on Economic and Financial Power (CEFP). This role will provide research support for critical projects relating to U.S. economic security.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEFP team.
- Provide research support for critical projects relating to U.S. economic security.
- Projects may include working on issues related to:
- Sanctions and economic statecraft
- Illicit finance
- Global corruption risks
- Supply chain dependencies
- Digital currencies
- Positive economic power projection
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word.
- Must have basic Excel skills.
Qualifications
- Must have at least a 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- Should have a relevant course of study and have completed coursework in any of the following fields:
- International Relations
- Security Studies
- History
- Communications
- Journalism
- International Economics
- Political Science
- Computer science
- A relevant STEM field of study.
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 22 hours per week.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Candidates should have research experience.
- Candidates should have strong writing skills.
- Candidates should have an interest in the intersection of U.S. foreign, national security, and economic policy.
