Junior Content & Copywriter

About the Role

RV Teachers College is looking for an energetic, creative, and curious Junior Content & Copywriter to join our Media, Alumni Affairs & Communication team. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates passionate about writing, storytelling, social media, and creative communication. The candidate will work with content strategists, graphic designers, video editors, and digital marketing teams to create engaging content for institutional communications, social media campaigns, academic announcements, and student and alumni stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging captions, headlines, hooks, and short-form content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and digital advertising.
• Draft content for newsletters, emailers, brochures, posters, college websites, and event promotions.
• Assist in developing scripts and storyboards for campus reels, event highlights, and student testimonials.
• Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, clarity, and brand consistency.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for admissions campaigns, college events, workshops, and awareness initiatives.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and video editors to align copy with creative concepts.
• Research social media trends and suggest relevant content ideas.
• Interview students, faculty, and alumni and prepare achievement stories and institutional features.
• Assist with event coverage, post-event summaries, and press notes.
• Incorporate feedback and ensure timely delivery of assigned content.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Good grammar, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Creativity, research skills, storytelling ability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively with different teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English Literature, Advertising, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Internship or project experience in content writing, copywriting, or social media management.
• Familiarity with Canva and basic visual communication principles.
• Basic knowledge of AI-assisted writing and research tools.
• Writing samples, college projects, blogs, social media captions, or a creative portfolio.
