About the Role
Crossing Infotech is seeking a Software Testing Intern for a full-time remote internship. Interns will work on live projects under the guidance of experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Test websites, web applications, and mobile apps manually to identify bugs and usability issues.
- Write clear test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on provided requirements.
- Execute test cases, record results, and report defects with clear steps and screenshots.
- Track bugs using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello until resolved and retested.
- Perform regression, smoke, sanity, and functional testing on new releases.
- Assist in creating basic automation test scripts using Selenium under team guidance.
- Test APIs using Postman and verify data using simple SQL queries.
- Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic knowledge of software testing concepts: SDLC, STLC, test cases, bug life cycle.
- Understanding of manual testing types: functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Basic knowledge of Selenium or any test automation tool.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar.
- Good analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and spoken English communication.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Postman, API testing, and basic SQL.
- Basic understanding of Java or Python for automation.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Git.
- Any software testing course, certification (ISTQB), or project experience.
Eligibility
- Students and recent graduates in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), M.Sc, or related fields.
- Freshers interested in a career in software testing and quality assurance.
- Candidates possessing a laptop/computer and a stable internet connection.
