About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer role based in Jaipur. The Junior Software Engineer will help design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Scrapingdog’s web data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean and efficient code.
- Implement object-oriented designs.
- Fix bugs.
- Contribute to performance and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on new features.
- Review code.
- Participate in technical discussions and documentation.
- Assist in integrating new data sources.
- Enhance existing tools.
- Ensure stable, scalable systems that support a growing global user base.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Node.js
- Solid fundamentals: HTTP, headers, cookies, sessions, REST APIs
- Comfortable with Chrome DevTools and reading network requests.
- Hands-on scraping experience, even from personal projects, using tools like Puppeteer, Playwright, Cheerio, or BeautifulSoup.
- Curiosity and persistence.
