Full-Stack AI-Native Engineer Internship

About the Role

Babaclick engineers work on systems that directly shape business operations, scaling, and decision-making. Projects begin with business problems, requiring collaboration with engineering and business teams to understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, design, implement, validate, and maintain solutions in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI-assisted product development and internal platform engineering
• Develop catalogue growth systems and workflow automation
• Build API integrations and operational tooling
• Enhance data quality, structured data systems, and internal dashboards/reporting
• Debug production issues and optimize business processes
• Develop scalable, AI-enabled operational infrastructure

Projects involve databases, backend services, APIs, frontend applications, and automation tooling.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong candidates typically bring:
• Experience: 1+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally at a recognized technology, product, SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce company, contributing to real production systems and existing codebases.
• Academic background: A strong foundation in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• Engineering fundamentals: Solid backend, full-stack, or general application development skills, with a track record of shipping useful software, automation, internal tools, or AI-powered products.
• Judgement and communication: Strong analytical thinking, high ownership, attention to detail, excellent written/verbal English, comfort in fast-moving environments, and confidence to question assumptions.
• AI-Native Capability:
• Proven experience using AI coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot in real engineering work.
• Ability to structure prompts and context for high-quality AI output.
• Skill in reading, validating, and improving AI-generated code.
• Capability to debug AI-generated code.
• Experience working within existing codebases.
• Ability to break down complex problems into structured implementation plans.
• Using AI to increase development speed without outsourcing technical judgment.
• Collaborative Workflows:
• Comfort with Git/GitHub, branching, pull requests, code review, and working across shared repositories.
• Plus Technologies:
• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, React, Next.js, Node.js, SQL, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.
