Retail Assistant

About the Role

The Retail Assistant role at Shift Lead is a full-time, on-site position based in Durham, NC. This role supports daily store operations, including assisting customers on the sales floor, answering questions about products, and processing transactions at the register. The Retail Assistant helps maintain a clean, organized store environment by restocking shelves, checking inventory levels, and setting up product displays. The role includes handling customer concerns, ensuring a positive customer experience, and following company policies and procedures for cash handling and loss prevention. The Retail Assistant works closely with other team members and store leadership to meet sales goals and support smooth, efficient store operations.

• Ability to follow established store procedures.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
