About the Role
Seeking a full-time, BC/BE Neurohospitalist in South Bend, Indiana, to join an evolving inpatient neurology program. The program is transitioning from a primarily virtual model to a hybrid structure that includes dedicated, on-the-ground inpatient coverage. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and leadership. Experienced physicians and new graduates are welcomed, with mentors available.
Job Summary
- Join the dynamic and collaborative inpatient neurology team at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, a 434-bed Level II Trauma Center.
- Provide expert care in general inpatient neurology with a strong focus on stroke services.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team including Intensivists, Neurosurgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Emergency Medicine Physicians, and Hospitalists.
- Practice in a high-acuity environment with access to advanced technologies and a robust support system.
- Contribute to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases.
- Ensure a seamless continuum of care from the Emergency Department through hospitalization and rehabilitation.
Work Schedule
- Shift flexible for the needs of the practice.
- Day shift is the primary need.
- Night shifts are primarily covered by telehealth.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- BC/BE Neurologists.
- Passion for inpatient neurology and stroke consultative services.
Qualifications
- Experience level: Mentors available, experienced physicians and new graduates welcomed.
