Software Engineer Apprentice

About the Role

• We are looking for a motivated Apprentice to join our Analytics team.
• This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in web application development, application maintenance, and automation tools.
• The selected candidate will work closely with experienced team members on developing new EMS applications, maintaining existing tools, and supporting business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support web-based EMS applications and tools.
• Maintain and enhance existing EMS applications and related systems.
• Support and maintain Excel-based EMS/DMS tools.
• Assist in backend and frontend development activities.
• Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and database components.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with team members on ongoing application development and maintenance initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and tool enhancements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Good knowledge of Python programming.
• Understanding of backend development using Python and Flask framework.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience writing SQL queries, particularly DQL and DML operations.
• Strong Excel skills, including advanced Excel functionalities.
• Basic understanding of web development concepts.

Frontend Development

• Knowledge of HTML (Jinja templates), CSS, and JavaScript.

Database & Application Development

• Familiarity with SQL Server.
• Understanding of SQLAlchemy ORM.

Application Deployment

• Basic understanding of application deployment concepts using Hypercorn/Gunicorn.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Django or other Python-based web frameworks.
• Experience through academic, personal, internship, or project work involving web application development.
• Knowledge of VBA for maintaining Excel-based tools and automation.
• Exposure to ReportLab and smtplib Python libraries.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Graduates from 2025/26 only are eligible for apprenticeship opportunities.
