AI Operations Analyst (Agents and Automation)

About the Role

Postlane is a diversified private investment company looking for Analysts to help grow the fund and support its portfolio companies. The role involves automating manual work using AI agents. This position is built for recent graduates and MBAs who want to build with AI and take on real responsibility from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Build AI agents and automations to handle manual work across the fund and its portfolio companies.
• Use automations to produce deal models, investment memos, portfolio reports, and board decks efficiently.
• Transform operating data from portfolio companies into daily reports that tie to the source without manual input.
• Identify manual tasks, automate them, and demonstrate the resulting time savings.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience building with AI tools such as Claude and Claude Code.
• Sufficient engineering knowledge to ensure reliability.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Comfort with Python.
• A strong emphasis on data integrity, ensuring every number ties to the source.
• An ownership mentality and the ability to move quickly.

Qualifications

• Bonus: A degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or another quantitative field.
• Bonus: An MBA.
• Bonus: Experience in energy, logistics, or finance.

Compensation & Benefits

• $100,000 to $150,000 base salary.
• 15% target bonus (up to 25%) tied to automation impact.
• $10,000 raise at day 90 upon hitting scorecard objectives.
• $3,000 annually for AI tools and training.

• Direct exposure to real deals, companies, and leadership.

• Austin preferred, in-person with the team.
