The Role
Build product features end-to-end across Flutter app, web surfaces, backend APIs, and data. The role requires quick learning, ability to finish tasks, care for user experience, and understanding of shipped code.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship product features across app/web, API, and data layers.
- Translate product/design intent into complete user flows, including loading, empty, error, and retry states.
- Debug issues across client, network, backend, and data.
- Write tests, review own diffs, and verify behavior before handoff.
- Analyze user feedback and product metrics to assess release success.
- Utilize AI coding tools for faster development while maintaining responsibility for all code.
- Ask precise questions, communicate blockers early, and learn from direct feedback.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience building and shipping at least one real software project, internship deliverable, freelance product, or meaningful open-source contribution.
- Ability to write readable code and reason through bugs without solely relying on autocomplete or AI.
- Experience across at least two layers: mobile/web, backend/API, database, or deployment.
- Strong attention to product details and user experience.
- Ability to move quickly, test work, and own mistakes.
- Capacity to explain contributions, trade-offs, and potential improvements.
- Comfort working in person in Jayanagar, Bengaluru.
- A computer-science degree is not required; evidence of building is prioritized over credentials.
Useful, Not Mandatory
- Flutter/Dart and mobile fundamentals.
- State management solutions like BLoC or Riverpod.
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL, caching, queues, or real-time systems.
- Experience with Node.js, Go, Python, Java, or another production backend language.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, or app-store releases.
- Thoughtful use of AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
Interview Process
- Short application review based on shipped work.
- 15–20 minute screening call.
- 75-minute practical product-engineering interview (project deep dive, live task, self-review, changed requirement, product/UX discussion).
- 30-minute founder and mutual-expectations conversation.
- AI tools are permitted during the practical exercise; disclosure and explanation of usage are required.
