Key Responsibilities
- Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory, established standards.
- Performs venipunctures where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
Qualifications
Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience
- No experience required (for the role itself)
- 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
- Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency Preferred
