SDE Intern (Founding Team), AI x Dev Tools

About the Role

Hybrid internship role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work from home.

As an SDE Intern (Founding Team) | AI x Dev Tools, you will contribute to designing, building, and improving backend services and developer tools that power Alan AI’s agent-based platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement features for backend services and developer tools.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture and design decisions.
• Integrate AI workflows into development pipelines.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Iterate quickly based on user and team feedback.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming.
• At least one modern programming language: Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them.
• Interest in AI, developer tools, and building products that improve engineering productivity.
• Ability to work in a collaborative startup environment, take ownership of tasks, and learn quickly from feedback.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), testing practices, and basic cloud or DevOps concepts is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
