About the Role
Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is seeking a Laboratory Construction Materials Testing Technician to join their Sacramento and Stockton, CA offices. This role involves performing routine to complex testing of construction materials to verify conformance to plans and specifications, as well as for geotechnical engineering purposes. The ideal candidate will have strong initiative and be detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing on soils, asphalt, aggregates, and concrete materials.
- Verify conformance to construction plans and specifications and geotechnical engineering purposes.
- Perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to use a computer.
- General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel locally as required for project assignments.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented.
- Preferred Certifications (or ability to obtain):
- ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician - Grade I
- ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
- ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
- Caltrans Certification Soils, Aggregates, and / or Asphalt
