Manager Trainee

About the Role

The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. This role offers hands-on training across all aspects of store operations with the goal of promotion to a management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
• Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
• Create material estimates for building projects.
• Perform safe handling of materials and equipment and obtain Forklift Operation and Certification.
• Manage Payroll, Invoicing, Inventory, and POS Systems.
• Conduct financial analysis.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Availability: Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included).
• Willingness to relocate for a management position.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, in all weather conditions.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds).
• May work around machinery and airborne particles.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must complete the learning plan and course of study within the assigned time frame.
• Must bring dedication and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred but not required.
