About The Role

SynergisticIT is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. This opportunity is suited to a curious, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving problems and is ready to apply programming knowledge in collaborative project environments. The successful candidate will work with technical and business colleagues to understand requirements, build dependable solutions, and improve existing systems. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain software components in accordance with project requirements, coding standards, and team practices.
• Work with project stakeholders to clarify business needs, review technical requirements, and help translate them into maintainable solutions.
• Write clean, readable code and document important implementation details.
• Participate in code reviews, discuss design choices, and incorporate feedback to improve quality and consistency.
• Create and run unit, integration, or other appropriate tests; investigate defects; and support the resolution of issues across development and testing environments.
• Collaborate with developers, quality assurance professionals, analysts, and other team members to coordinate work and meet project milestones.
• Use source control and development tools effectively, keep task progress visible, and communicate risks or blockers promptly.
• Contribute to technical documentation and share relevant knowledge with colleagues.
• Stay informed about useful technologies and practices, applying them thoughtfully to improve application reliability, performance, security, and usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical training and experience.
• A foundation in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and basic software development practices.
• Understanding or willingness to learn version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding or willingness to learn relational or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding or willingness to learn common testing approaches.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate respectfully.
• Ability to respond constructively to feedback.
• Ability to manage assigned work responsibly.
• Willingness to learn new frameworks and tools.

Exposure to web development, REST APIs, cloud platforms, agile workflows, or continuous integration tools is an advantage.
