About the Role

As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analyzing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilization of SAP applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimizing operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and develop business/process-enhancing BI solutions using preferred business reporting tools and data warehouses.
• Support established in-house developed BW / BPC solutions.
• Document existing BW / BPC solutions to assist in migration to various reporting platforms.
• Add value to existing business processes/procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with Business to analyze requirements, design, and deliver BW / BPC based solutions.
• Use tools to perform Data Transfer Process, Transformations, and BEx Query Designer and Analyzer.
• Provide support for data migration projects as and when required.
• Understand business data requirements and translate them into solution framework/architecture.
• Manage, plan, prioritize, and work to tight deadlines.
• Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate the development of code elements and review.
• Participate in all phases of project lifecycle: Design, Development, System Testing, UAT support, Deployment Support, Post Production Support.
• Review and finalize the project scope and deliverables with Application Development and Functional Support manager.
• Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
• Ensure adherence to locally defined standards for all developed BW / BPC solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on the use of tools to perform Data Transfer Process and data profiling.

SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) / SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Specifics

• Setting up environment, configuring models and dimensions, enabling seamless integration of master data and hierarchies with underlying transaction systems.
• Configuring Transformation and conversion files, Data Manager Packages, Package Links for extracting and performing tasks on data.
• Setting up the initial ownership structure and defining the rate input templates.
• Drafting currency translation rules (both periodical & YTD), elimination and adjustment rules, US elimination rules, carry-forward rules, account-based calculations rules.
• Writing logic scripts, collaborating with ABAP team members on functional aspects for BADIs.
• Designing EPM reports and input templates from consolidation and planning needs.
• Backup procedures.
• Creation of queries, info areas, aggregation levels, key figures, characteristics, composite providers, variables, reports and input templates using HANA Studio and BEX Query.
