About the Role
Bhooma Trust for Culture is hiring a Research Associate for a project on Indian music.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting literature reviews.
- Collecting qualitative and quantitative data.
- Performing basic data analysis.
- Writing and editing research reports, articles, and public-facing content.
- Contributing to cultural heritage research, preservation, and promotion.
- Working with communities, scholars, and institutions.
- Documenting cultural narratives.
- Supporting knowledge-sharing across generations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong research abilities.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in anthropology, history, sociology, cultural studies, or a related field.
- MA in Music, Performance Studies, History, or Sociology (minimum qualification).
- Musicians interested in research can also apply.
- Demonstrated interest in culture, heritage, or social research.
- Prior work or internship experience preferred.
- Basic audio-visual / social media skills (advantageous).
- Knowledge of Indian music (advantageous).
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements (independent work from home and in-person work in New Delhi).
