【NYC】Client Engineering Intern

About the Role

Join rednote's international innovation team to help bring a brand-new app to life. You'll build experiences for international users, participate in product development from the earliest stages, and explore how AI can support end-to-end feature delivery.

What You'll Do

• Help develop the client application for a new product, from early prototypes to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Turn product requirements and designs into intuitive, responsive user experiences.
• Build reusable UI components and integrate backend APIs.
• Handle application state, data loading, and local storage.
• Improve app performance, stability, and compatibility across devices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver complete features.
• Use AI tools for prototyping, implementation, testing, and debugging while validating code quality and behavior.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid foundations in programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with at least one mobile development stack, such as Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android, Flutter, or React Native.
• Basic understanding of UI development, networking, and asynchronous programming.
• Attention to detail and an interest in building thoughtful user experiences.
• Strong curiosity, ownership, and collaboration skills.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and a willingness to experiment and learn.

Nice to Have

• Experience building or publishing a mobile app through coursework, personal projects, internships, or open-source work.
• Experience using AI coding tools to build working features.
• Familiarity with app architecture, automated testing, performance profiling, or animations.
• Interest in international products and user needs.
