SQL Developer Intern

About the Role

Crossing Infotech is hiring a SQL Developer Intern for a full-time remote internship in India. The internship runs for 1 to 3 months. Interns will work on live projects under the guidance of experienced team members.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Write SQL queries to insert, update, fetch, and analyze data in MySQL databases.
• Design simple database tables, relationships, and schemas with guidance.
• Optimize slow queries and improve database performance using indexes and better query logic.
• Create views, stored procedures, and basic functions for reporting needs.
• Clean, validate, and migrate data between tables and databases.
• Prepare data extracts and reports using SQL and Excel.
• Maintain data accuracy, document database structures, and track changes.
• Work with the team to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, WHERE, subqueries).
• Basic understanding of MySQL or any relational database.
• Understanding of database concepts such as primary keys, foreign keys, and normalization.
• Basic understanding of indexes and query performance.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Candidates must have a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge of Excel or Power BI.
• Any SQL course, certification, or project experience.

Qualifications

• Students and recent graduates in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), M.Sc, or any related field.
• Freshers interested in building a career in database development.
