Intern, Manual QA Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, specifications, and expected functionality.
• Perform manual testing of web applications and software products.
• Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and UI testing.
• Identify, reproduce, and document software bugs and issues.
• Prepare detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
• Retest bugs after developers provide fixes.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
• Verify website/application functionality across different browsers and devices.
• Check user interfaces for layout, usability, responsiveness, and consistency.
• Work closely with developers, project managers, and senior QA team members to understand and resolve issues.
• Maintain proper testing documentation and update test results.
• Participate in requirement discussions and provide testing-related feedback.
• Continuously learn new QA tools, testing techniques, and industry practices.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of Software Testing / QA concepts.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of test cases, test scenarios, test execution, and bug reporting.
• Basic understanding of functional and non-functional testing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify and clearly explain software issues.
• Basic knowledge of web applications and browser testing.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or other bug-tracking tools.
• Basic understanding of API testing.
• Familiarity with Postman.
• Basic knowledge of SQL/database concepts.
• Understanding of responsive web testing.
• Basic knowledge of browser Developer Tools.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / Computer Science or related field.
• Experience: Fresher.
• Candidates who have completed a QA/Software Testing course or internship are welcome to apply.
• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in software testing are encouraged to apply.
