Account Intern

About the Role

Startup Movers Private Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join their Accounts & Finance team in Panchkula. The role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations and financial documentation, requiring a basic understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day accounting activities, including recording and maintaining financial transactions.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of vouchers, invoices, bills, and other financial documents.
• Assist with bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Help maintain books of accounts and update accounting records accurately.
• Support the team in accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Assist in GST-related documentation and basic compliance activities, as required.
• Maintain proper records of expenses, payments, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other financial statements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect invoices and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Familiarity with Tally or other accounting software will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

• B.Com, M.Com, or pursuing CA/CS/CMA or another relevant commerce qualification.
• Good numerical ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work collaboratively with the team.
