About the Role

Join Deloitte's Finance Transformation practice to help client service teams define and execute Finance and Global Business Services agendas and strategies. Work with world-class teams and insights, supporting delivery in challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology to enable transforming finance.

Position Summary - Consultant

As a Consultant in Deloitte's Finance Strategy team, you will:

• Advise CFOs to unlock enterprise value, modernize the finance factory, and analyze capital.
• Help develop aspirations for the client’s Finance organization, identify gaps, the digital starting point, and define the vision for future organization.
• Advise client executives to build next-gen capabilities and kickstart digital transformation programs.
• Assess client’s current state maturity, develop vision/strategy, compare with industry leading benchmarks to identify opportunities, develop business cases, and design roadmaps for execution.
• Leverage analytical skills to process client data to develop insights and recommendations.
• Help clients identify and prioritize where and when to invest in finance infrastructure assets to create organizational value and drive business performance.
• Conduct client interviews, participate in workshops and training sessions, and present recommendations to client stakeholders.
• Support the delivery of Deloitte Finance Labs to help clients design their short-term and long-term vision for the Finance function.
• Liaison with certain client stakeholders to develop quality outputs, deliverables, and artifacts.
• Design and develop tools, NextGen capabilities (including GenAI), and Delivery Transformation assets, and leverage them to help deliver client engagements with improved margins.
• Analyze and interpret project data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Drive client engagements through the following activities:
• Own and manage specific work threads.
• Develop plans and roadmaps for assigned components of the engagements.
• Support coordination of activities between different work threads.
• Proactively identify and remediate any scope change, risk, or issue.
• Manage and mentor new team members.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client counterparts.

The Team

The 'Finance Strategy' offering acts as a trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and key executives. They help advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service recommendations, assisting clients in developing strategies and capabilities to guide enterprise-wide decision-making, elevate the finance function with digital capabilities, and create impact within their organization.

Key Responsibilities & Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
• Worked at CFO organizations at leading multinationals and helped develop vision and strategy for the Finance organization.
• Supported Finance transformation projects across people, process, data, and technology.
• Conducted current state maturity and benchmarking of the finance function and developed initiatives and roadmaps for transformation.
• Supported strategy design and execution of large-scale transformation projects.
• Supported ERP Finance Transformation primarily focusing on current state assessment, visioning, vendor landscape assessment and selection, fit-gap analysis, implementation roadmap, etc.
• Fair understanding of finance processes and strategies to drive strategic improvements in areas of Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Understanding of operating model transformations and navigating through the end-to-end design and implementation journey.
• Analytical and Hypothesis driven problem-solving approach, process and operations analysis, processing, and analysis of large financial and non-financial data sets.
• Exposure to working in non-India Geographies (preferably the US) and/or interacting with Global stakeholders.
• Functional understanding of financial applications/tools such as Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan is preferable.
• Understanding of latest digital technologies such as Robotic Automation, GenAI, Predictive Analytics and their applications in business and Finance.
• Project management experience (either leading or supporting).

Requirements & Tech Stack

• MBA / MS / CA from a leading school in India or abroad.
• 1-3 years of hands-on relevant experience post MBA.
• 2-4 years of hands-on relevant experience post MS / CA.
