Doctor Intern
Astroum AI
About Brahmo AI
Brahmo AI is building clinical AI products for hospitals and doctors in India. Our focus is making AI useful in everyday clinical workflows, with attention to clinical accuracy, patient safety, and doctor oversight. We are looking for doctors who want to work at the intersection of medicine, AI, product development, and hospital adoption. You will help evaluate the product, identify clinical issues, improve the doctor experience, and support demonstrations and conversations with hospitals.
The Role
Your primary responsibility will be clinical validation and product testing. You will assess whether AI outputs are clinically appropriate, supported by the supplied information and approved references, and useful to a doctor. You will also support doctor outreach, product demonstrations, pilot feedback, and sales conversations. We need someone comfortable both reviewing clinical cases and speaking with doctors about the product. This is a healthcare technology internship—not a patient-care posting or a role limited to telecalling. Coding experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
-
Clinical Validation
-
Review AI-generated clinical answers and safety alerts. Check accuracy, completeness, relevance, and consistency with approved clinical references and hospital protocols. Identify unsupported claims, important omissions, incorrect medication details, and potentially unsafe outputs.
-
Create and run clinical test cases. Use simulated or approved de-identified cases to test common Indian clinical scenarios, incomplete information, conflicting details, and situations where the AI should request clarification rather than provide a confident answer.
-
Document findings clearly. Record the test case, actual output, expected response, supporting reference, and potential clinical impact. Escalate uncertain or high-risk findings for senior clinical review and retest issues after fixes.
-
Product Testing and Improvement
-
Test the product from a doctor’s perspective. Identify confusing workflows, unclear wording, unnecessary steps, and features that do not match real hospital or outpatient practice.
-
Translate clinical feedback into actionable improvements. Explain issues clearly to engineers and help confirm whether the revised workflow solves the problem.
-
Support clinical content and evaluation materials. Prepare reviewed example cases, demonstration scenarios, reference summaries, and testing checklists.
-
Hospital Engagement and Sales Support
-
Support doctor and hospital outreach. Help identify suitable users, arrange introductory discussions, and follow up on interest alongside the sales team.
-
Assist with product demonstrations. Explain relevant use cases in language doctors understand, answer questions within your knowledge, and accurately distinguish available capabilities from planned features.
-
Support pilots and adoption. Gather structured doctor feedback, document objections and workflow needs, coordinate issue resolution, and help the team understand what would make the product useful enough for continued adoption.
What We Are Looking For
- An MBBS qualification and a sound clinical foundation. Fresh graduates and early-career doctors are welcome. Applicants currently completing medical training must be able to meet the agreed work schedule without disrupting their clinical or academic obligations.
- Careful clinical judgment and attention to detail. You should be willing to check references, question an apparently convincing AI answer, and clearly state when something needs further review.
- Clear communication in English. Telugu is strongly preferred for local doctor and hospital interactions; Hindi is an advantage.
- Interest in AI and healthcare technology. Prior AI experience is not mandatory, but you should be comfortable learning software and documenting work in tools such as Google Sheets or Excel.
- Comfort with doctor-facing work. You should be willing to participate in outreach, demonstrations, hospital visits, and follow-up conversations—not only desk-based testing.
- Availability for full-time, in-person work in Hyderabad, with local hospital visits as required.
Good to Have
- Experience with HIMS/HIS or EMR systems, clinical research, medical writing, quality audits, healthcare startups, or digital-health products is an advantage.
- Experience presenting to doctors or coordinating hospital activities is also useful.
How Your Work Will Be Evaluated
We will look at the quality of your clinical reviews, the usefulness and clarity of reported issues, reliable follow-through on retesting, and your contribution to doctor feedback and product adoption. Finding meaningful problems and helping resolve them matters more than simply completing a large number of test cases or outreach calls.
Clinical Responsibility and Confidentiality
Use only authorised test materials and approved systems. Patient information must not be shared through personal accounts or unapproved AI tools. Interns identify issues and support evaluation; high-risk clinical judgments and final clinical sign-off require review by designated qualified senior clinicians. This role does not involve independent diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing for patients.
