About the Role
Supra Controls is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to deploy and commission its proprietary industrial data systems such as historians and alarm management platforms at customer sites. The role operates within Level 2.5 to DMZ layers of industrial architectures and requires strong understanding of OT systems, industrial communication protocols, and plant environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission and configure industrial data historians
- Commission and configure alarm management systems
- Integrate plant data from PLCs / DCS / SCADA systems
- Work with communication protocols:
- OPC DA / UA
- Modbus TCP / RTU
- TCP/IP, Serial communication
- File-based integrations (CSV, logs, etc.)
- Interface with Level 2/3 systems (SCADA, MES, Enterprise)
- Deploy solutions in DMZ / OT network architectures
- Perform site commissioning
- Perform testing & validation
- Perform customer training
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Background in:
- Instrumentation
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Industrial Automation
- Experience with PLC / SCADA systems (e.g., ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
- Strong understanding of:
- Industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus)
- Networking basics (IP, ports, firewalls)
- Familiarity with:
- Windows-based industrial systems
- Basic database concepts (SQL queries, data logging)
This role is not suitable for pure IT/software development profiles without industrial automation or plant system experience.
