About the Role
Jamco Interiors is seeking Technical Publications/Technical Writing Experts to join a growing team. Jamco is a global provider of aircraft interiors, specializing in lavatories and galleys, with a growing presence in business/first-class seating and modification services.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and maintain various manuals like CMM & IPC in compliance with industry standards iSpec2200 and S1000D.
- Develop illustrations to support documentation.
- Perform tasks independently at a high level across all product lines.
- Evaluate and revise manuals, write department procedures, and maintain indexes.
- Resolve complex technical problems and provide guidance to team members.
- Participate in project meetings and translate contract requirements into work requirements.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong knowledge of engineering science and technology for maintenance manuals.
- Familiarity with FAA & EASA requirements, aircraft fundamentals, and industry standards.
- Proficient in creating and revising various documents and data.
- Advanced mathematical and language skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using CAD systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and relevant software tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient users of FrameMaker, QuarkXPress, IsoDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Lattice XVL, Word, Excel, and Eagle Publishing System.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of industry quality control standards.
- Exceptional ability to research, analyze, and create technical data.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close and color vision.
- Effective communication in writing and orally.
Qualifications
- Degree in a technical discipline.
- 0 to 5 years of experience in aerospace.
- Experience in authoring iSpec2200 and S1000D standards.
Job Location: Pune or Bangalore Only
This position is fully office-based and is not a remote or hybrid role. Must be willing and able to work from the office five days per week.
