News Writer/Editor (Part-time)

About the Role

• Part-time News Writer/Editor position at KMPH FOX26.
• 10 hours per week.
• Critical role during Friday Night Rivals High School Football coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate sponsorship scripts and graphics from the production truck.
• Work an 8-hour shift on Fridays during High School Football season.
• Work a 2-hour shift the following day to edit and feed highlights to the Sinclair corporate team.
• During other parts of the year, work 6:45 PM - 11:15 PM on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Qualifications

• Completed or currently in the junior or senior year of college at a four-year accredited college or university.
• Planning and preparing for a job in news.
• Highly motivated and dedicated student looking to get the most out of their experience.

Compensation

• Base salary: $17.50 per hour.
• Final compensation determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
• Eligible employees may participate in a retirement plan and employee stock purchase plan.
• Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable law.
