About the Role

Whalebone is a global cybersecurity company developing user-centric products for telcos, ISPs, enterprises, public institutions, and governments. The company protects millions of internet users from various cyber threats. This role is part of the Technical Consulting team for the APAC Market.

Position Details

• Team: Technical Consulting, APAC Market Team
• Work setup: Remote
• Location: India (Gurugram / New Delhi)
• Job type: Contract (Freelance/B2B type of cooperation)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to assess their needs, design suitable integration architectures, and ensure smooth incorporation into their network topology.
• Lead technical strategy in customer engagements by working closely with Account Executives, Product, and Engineering to tailor solutions.
• Configure solutions, identify potential issues, and oversee successful implementation.
• Provide post-launch support, maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
• Cooperate with Account Executives, Customer Excellence, Product, Engineering teams, and customers’ technical specialists to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Travel to client sites.
• Continuously learn, grow, and contribute to advancing technical expertise.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Solid technical understanding of internet protocols.
• Hands-on experience with DNS protocol is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences.
• Solution-oriented mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
• Project management capabilities (planning, coordination, and execution).
• Ability to build trusted relationships with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Hindi.

Nice to have

• Experience with Network Security solutions.
• Docker.
• REST APIs.
• Network administration (routing, switching, firewalls).
• DNS Resolver technology (Knot, Unbound, PowerDNS, etc.).
