Construction Seasonal Security

About the Role

DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company. This is a seasonal construction security position located in Coldwater, MI. This is NOT an armed security position.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report: Remain alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in and around building lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
• Security Officer: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, check employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
• Safety Patrol: Ensure a safe and secure environment by enforcing policies and procedures and reporting safety concerns.
• Emergency Response: Assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel.
• Security Liaison: Maintain professional communication with client staff, follow through with client requests, and update site supervisors/operations managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Use of a smart mobile phone or computer for emails and online training.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Military veterans and individuals with security, firefighting, department of corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent education certification (GED).
• Must pass a drug screening (including for marijuana) at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies.
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol-related offenses.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (Child, Infant, and Adult), or willing to become certified and be physically capable of administering lifesaving care.
• Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary).
• Ability to hear conversations in loud environments, either in-person or via radio.
• Ability to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude.
• Ability to complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies.

Rate of Pay: $19

Shift Opening(s): Various days (Monday - Sunday) - 3rd shifts

Weapons are not permitted on the premises, including in personal vehicles parked on the premises.
