Junior Software Engineer

About the Role

PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup focused on bringing transparency and traceability to India’s milk supply chain. As a Junior Software Engineer at PYAAS, you will contribute to building and maintaining the technology platform that supports milk traceability, customer ordering, and last-mile delivery. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Noida, requiring both on-site collaboration and remote work. You will work closely with senior engineers and product stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and test backend services and APIs.
• Implement new features.
• Fix bugs.
• Improve system reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Contribute to documentation for development and operations.
• Integrate third-party services.
• Support app releases.
• Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting production systems.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming, preferably in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and work effectively in a small, fast-paced startup environment.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience with mobile or web app development, cloud platforms, or RESTful APIs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
