About the Role
The 'Precast Works Competency Centre' (PWCC) is a capability-based competency centre within the L&T Construction Group. It aims to achieve excellence in precast works through world-class skill, quality, and safety, utilizing state-of-the-art technology for cost-effective and timely execution. The centre focuses on improving efficiency, fostering innovation, adopting futuristic and digital technologies, and building functional expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Build proposals for Structural Systems/Framing for precast construction.
- Concept development and design philosophy verification.
- Develop construction-friendly designs.
- Complete LLRS design for preliminary and detailed analysis.
- Prepare budgetary design BoQs.
- Interact with internal and external clients to present and convert proposals.
- Conduct Peer Reviews (verification of design and detailing of elements and connections).
- Review assigned projects from L&T Construction IC in buildings and infrastructure.
- Ensure accuracy, standardization, and structural integrity in permanent and construction phases.
- Perform finite element modeling of design elements in precast construction for permanent and temporary design.
- Conduct micro-level modeling and analysis of connections, moulds, and lifting devices for value engineering.
- Engage in research and development related to precast and its applications.
- Evaluate modern materials and methodologies.
- Explore value engineering areas to build cost-effective micro solutions, develop test programs, and analyze reports to aid design efficiency.
- Visit various sites for a first-hand understanding of challenges and evaluation of adopted solutions.
- Focus on continual marginal improvement in design and execution.
