About the Role

AFREEN FASHION COMPANY is seeking a Leather Bag Designer to create original bag concepts, sketches, and technical drawings for various collections. This role requires alignment with the brand’s design language and market trends, and involves selecting materials, hardware, and finishes. The designer will collaborate with pattern makers and sample units, refine prototypes, track fashion trends, conduct market research, and support production teams. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original bag concepts, sketches, and technical drawings for various collections.
• Ensure alignment with the brand’s design language and market trends.
• Select materials, hardware, and finishes.
• Collaborate with pattern makers and sample units.
• Refine prototypes based on fit, functionality, and feedback.
• Track fashion trends and conduct market and competitor research.
• Prepare design presentations for internal review.
• Support production teams by providing clear specifications and resolving design-related issues.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software.
• Basic familiarity with CAD or other fashion design applications.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in bag and accessory design, including concept development, sketching, and translating ideas into detailed technical drawings.
• Knowledge of leather types, materials, trims, and hardware, with an understanding of durability, functionality, and aesthetics in bag construction.
• Experience working with pattern makers and sample rooms, including reviewing prototypes, making design adjustments, and ensuring production feasibility.
• Ability to conduct trend and market research, interpret customer preferences, and incorporate insights into commercially viable designs.
• Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving design and production challenges.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
• Relevant education in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, or a related field.
• Prior experience in leather goods or handbags design is highly preferred.
